Today I took a short 2-1/2 hour recovery ride out to the east side of the West Maui mountains. Will be posting more soon, but as you can see, this has got to be the most beautiful island of all.

10,000ft...FINALLY!!!

Oh...the stories I could tell about today's Ride To The Clouds (Sun).

Just a quick post b4 I head off to the 4pm race party in Paia.

I FINALLY had a race I can feel pretty good about. Did it in just under 3hr 40min.

The winner again was Mike ($600!) w/ Jiri just getting nipped at the line, both in 2hr 50min.

And can you believe it. I forgot my damn wheel skewers!!!

Thank goodness Mark and Darin got spare wheels!!! Kind of put a damper on my plans to cruise around this afternoon.

Oh well...I guess I'll be walking...

BTW. gotta love this Ipaq! As you can tell though. I'm still learning how to use this thing!

Well, my trusty and very old 2mb Fuji Fine Pix A203 camera finally crapped out on me last week. So...I'm in the market for a new camera.

One of my main criteria for a new camera was that I wanted a wide angle of say 20-28mm or so. But, then I thought about stitching together pictures to give myself the wide angle view I was looking for.

Well, that lead me on a search for a free photo stitching program. And here is a fabulous free program this I found:

As you can see from the stitched picture (you gotta see the pic onto the flickr site, not the one above), the results are really good. But since my camera is pretty low resolution, the final picture is not as detailed as I would like.

I will post an autostitch from my upcoming weekend trip to Maui cause I will be borrowing my brother's Canon SD400 which is a 4mb camera.

Finally....It's Back

AUTOCROSS!!!!!

Oahu's autocross is finally back at the same location that used to be back in the day (1980's or so) - Aloha Staduim Parking Lot.

This past Sunday was the first autocross since April and I tell you...maybe I gotta SERIOUSLY take up this sport, versus cycling. Not that I'm fast in autox or anything...just that it's sooooo much easier than what it takes to be a good cyclist. Plus that, you can always blame your tires if you ain't going fast!

Jiri, myself, Mark, ???, and David. We all did it...but Jiri actually "raced" it to a 2nd place overall.

Just got back this afternoon from a super fun??? weekend in Hilo Hawaii (Big Island) where we did the Sea to Stars - Mauna Kea Road Race. Will be posting more soon, but I can tell you...that has got to be the HARDEST thing I ever did on a bike. See the picture below...that was just one of the MANY STEEP sections of this race.
