On our last day on this 2004 trip, we took a stroll along the Ginza which was just a short walk from our hotel.

There were lots of families and even pets enjoying the streets that were closed off to traffic on Sundays. Quite a (political?) feat, I would think, for downtown Tokyo. For this to happen in Waikiki???...I don't think so!
